We're getting our initial glimpse of the refreshed Honda Civic FE, recently showcased in a hybrid variant tailored for the US market. Expected to hit the market in the third or fourth quarter of this year, the Civic Hybrid will be available in sedan and hatchback configurations.
The facelifted Honda Civic FE showcases a revamped appearance, featuring an enlarged honeycomb grille at the front and a redesigned bumper that bears a resemblance to the one seen on the Civic RS Prototype unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. Interestingly, the overall front fascia might remind you of the BMW 3 Series, doesn't it?
The rear design of the upcoming facelifted Civic has not been fully unveiled at this point. However, from the glimpses provided so far, it appears to maintain a similar rear design to the current model, with updated graphics for the taillights. On the sides, the Civic FE facelift features newly designed dual-tone wheels.
As of now, there are no detailed specifications available for the facelifted Honda Civic FE in the US market. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that the hybrid variant(s) will incorporate the brand's Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) hybrid system, housing the 2.0-liter engine, similar to the setup in the Honda Civic e:HEV RS offered in Malaysia. The continuation of the 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbo VTEC engines from the current model is also expected.
