Shuttler Vivian to call time on illustrious career
25-Nov-2024
Malaysia's badminton star Vivian Hoo will retire after the Malaysia Open 2025 (Jan 7-12), partnering Lim Chiew Sien in her final match. The 34-year-old is a two-time Commonwealth Games champion, SEA Games gold medalist, and former world No. 9 in women's doubles.
Vivian, who turned independent in 2021, plans to start her own badminton academy post-retirement. Reflecting on her career, she said, "It’s not a sad moment; I’ve enjoyed the sport I love."
