The robust and clog-resistant design of Griploc mechanical face seals provide consistent performance and long, trouble-free operation. The patented Griploc seal design securely locks the seal without damages to the shaft.

The solid-seal rings maintain their flatness to prevent leaks. In outstanding leakage prevention and perfect interaction of components and high resistant materials, such as Viton O-rings and robust seal rings with a unique tungsten carbide composition, secure high performance and reliable operation.

Seal rings are available in aluminum oxide or reaction-bonded silicon carbide as well. In addition, Active Seal technology is included in selected Griploc seal variants act as a micro pump to prevent liquid from entering into the motor housing. ( (

Griploc seals are used for both inner and outer sealing. Mounted in the inner position, the seal prevents liquid from entering the motor housing. Mounted in the outer position, the seal prevents leaks of the pumped media into the buffer chamber.

Griploc mechanical face seals are available for Flygt dewatering pumps from 2071 up to 2201. In addition, Griploc seals can also be used for select older Flygt dewatering pumps no longer in production. Check with your Xylem applications expert for more information. 

Quick and secure mounting

The Griploc seals are easy to mount in a Flygt pump and don’t require any special service tools. All you need is an ordinary screwdriver and the mounting tool that is delivered with each seal.

For simple and quick installation, there is only one way to install a Griploc seal: The uniform design facilitates easy and correct mounting of the seal as the same installation procedure is used for all Griploc seal variants.
