Glue, mastics and epoxy systems
GL 88
Glue for marble and natural stones
GL 88 is a compound made of unsaturated polyester modified resin, dissolved in monomer styrene, to which is added an unsaturated polyester orthophtalic modified resin, condensed with standard glycol and pre-accelerated with hardener.
The preparation has good characteristics of chemical mechanical resistance, brightness and stability after hardening. GL 88 is used for stuccoing, gluing and grouting of marble slabs, granite, agglomerated, travertine and other types of natural stone tiles and slabs.
CHARACTERISTICS AND BENEFITS
- Resistant
- Bright
- No colour change
USES
Marble, Granite, Travertine, Agglomerates, Natural Stones.
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT
Spatula
APPLICATION
Test on a small area before proceeding, so to ensure product suitability and final result.
The surface to be treated has to be perfectly dry and free from dust and grease.
In case it is needed to colour the GL 88 we suggest to proceed during this phase, before mixing the hardener with the GL 88, using the specific products COLOURING PASTES FABER.
MIXING OF THE CATALYST
Add to GL 88 the catalyst included with glue. We suggest to use the catalyst in a 2% ratio for a proper hardening; anyway quantity can vary according to the conditions of use.
Do not use quantities of catalyst, which are lower than 1% or higher than 3%.
Mix well the product with the catalyst to obtain a uniform mixture and apply quickly being careful not to leave abundant excesses. GL 88 dries and hardens in about 35 minutes at 22 ° C.
For grouting and resin coatings, the hardened product can be ground immediately after hardening.
