RS PRO Gauge Block Set Steel Metric, 87 piece
This gauge block set is an essential tool for precise calibration and measurement, enabling you to obtain the highest degree of accuracy. With the 87 different pieces, which can be used separately or in combination, you can easily determine exact lengths.
Each block is made from high-quality steel, which has been heat-treated for hardness and durability. The surfaces have also gone through an ultra-micro-lapping process and are heat-treated to HRC65/HV820 hardness to provide high resistance to wear and tear. This leaves a very flat, smooth finish, which is necessary to ensure the blocks fit together as tightly as possible, in the method known as 'wringing'.
Housed in a handy wooden case, each piece is clearly identified. The set comes with a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) certificate for calibration to guarantee quality. Use the blocks for fine machining applications in manufacturing or construction settings and to calibrate engineering equipment and other measuring devices.
