Meet How, a talented SBIT graduate. At 21, How recently completed his Degree in IT Support and is now working at an international bank as an IT Front Desk representative. Join us as he shares his experiences at SBIT, the skills he’s applied in his current role, and his hopes for the future. Let’s hear his story!
Q: What was your favorite subject in the SBIT program?
A: I enjoyed Cybersecurity the most because it covers many aspects of security, like software security and application security. There’s so much to learn!
Q: Are you using the skills you learned at SBIT in your current job?
A: My current work is all related to IT Support. The things I learned have been really helpful—especially remembering numbers or different application forms. It’s made my job easier.
Q: Do you think there’s a difference between a Diploma and a Degree?
A: Diplomas are mostly hands-on, focusing on maintaining PCs and troubleshooting hardware issues. But with a Degree, you learn more about IP addresses, software, and topics that are relevant to most companies.
Q: What’s your most unforgettable memory from your time studying?
A: It would have to be learning essential knowledge with classmates and teachers, along with the hands-on work with PCs. I really miss those times.
Q: Now that you’ve graduated, who would you like to thank?
A: I’d like to thank my parents, SBIT, and my lecturers. Everyone has given me so much support. I’m grateful to each of you for being with me on this journey.
Q: What are your hopes for the future?
A: I hope for a better life, a better future, and to keep improving.
