Paying Income Tax via Credit Card

You can pay your Malaysian income tax using a credit card (issued by Malaysian banks). However, a 0.80% service fee will be charged based on the tax amount.

If you are using a Maybank credit card and your income tax amount is between RM1,000 and RM500,000, you can opt for Ezypay installment payments:

• 6-month installment plan – 1.25% interest
• 12-month installment plan – 2.05% interest

Steps to Pay Income Tax via Credit Card on LHDN’s Official Website:

Step 1: Visit the Official Payment Website
Go to https://byrhasil.hasil.gov.my/ and click on the “VISA Mastercard American Express” tab under “Bayaran Melalui Kad Kredit”.

Step 2: Choose Your Identification Type (Jenis Pengenalan)
Select one of the following identification types:
• New Identity Card Number (No. Kad Pengenalan Baru)
• Police Number (No. Polis)
• Army Number (No. Tentera)
• Passport Number (No. Pasport)
• Company Registration Number (No. Pendaftaran Syarikat)
• Income Tax Reference Number (No. Rujukan Cukai)
Then, enter your chosen identification number (No. Pengenalan) and the security code (Kod keselamatan) displayed on the screen. Click “Hantar”.

Step 3: Verify Your Details
Check whether your name and tax number are correct. Then, select:
1 Payment Type & Code (Kod dan Jenis Bayaran)
• 084 – Individual Income Tax Installment Payment
• 086 – Corporate Income Tax Installment Payment
• 095 – Final Income Tax Payment
2 Tax Assessment Year (Tahun Taksiran)
3 Number of Installments (Bilangan ansuran) – Use “99” for final payment
4 Credit Card Type (Jenis Kad)
5 Ezypay Option – Select Yes or No
6 Tax Amount (Amaun cukai) in RM

Then, click “Hantar”, enter the security code (Kod keselamatan) again, and click “Hantar” once more.

Step 4: Confirm Payment Details
Double-check all the details, then click “Bayar” to proceed. You will be redirected to the credit card payment page.

Step 5: Save the Payment Receipt
After completing the payment, save or print the receipt as proof of payment.

 LHDN will not issue a separate receipt for credit card tax payments.
